  • Description: Kazablan (Nikos Kourkoulos), an Israeli hero of the war for Independence, is accused of murdering a mechanic responsible for the demolition of a poor neighborhood in Tel Aviv. He is lucky enough to get Yosse (Dimitris Ballas), a military buddy and old friend of his, to defend him in court, while a decent policeman (Lykourgos Kallergis) is heading up the investigation. The latter reveals the true identity of the dead man, who was a smuggler pretending to be a mechanic and who was planning to murder someone from that area. Along with the court drama, there is another plot-line featuring two love affairs: between Yosse and Kazablan’s mistress (Maria Xenia), and one between Kazablan and a young woman who admires him (Aspa Nakopoulou).
