The EU-funded ViCTOR-E project, in which the European Film Gateway was a partner, has developed e-learning exercises to explore post-WWII Europe through film, offering a unique and engaging collection of multilingual activities for school and other learning contexts. The e-learning activities not only aim to provide engaging ways of understanding historical events and the post-war transformation of Europe, but are also accompanied by a wealth of background material to support educators in delivering comprehensive lessons. Professor Francesco Pitassio and postdoctoral researcher Paolo Villa, who designed the exercises with a team from the University of Udine, wrote about them in the Europeana blog post "From celluloid to classroom: teaching post-war Europe through film".
Find the e-learning exercises at frames-reconstruction.eu and background materials here.
