>> www.cncinema.abt.ro Arhiva Nationala de Filme (ANF) was established in 1957 as sole institution in Romania that collects, preserves and uses films for non-commercial purposes. Over the years it has been active in finding and identifying films, cataloguing as well as carrying out a series of studies on the history of Romanian cinema. It is a member of FIAF since 1960 and member of ACE since 1996.
ANF includes two art cinema theatres, labs for cleaning, processing and copying films, as well as Telecine equipment (since 1999) that allows us to make film copies in house and offer other kind of services. The collections consist of 45'570 film titles (372'061 reels) while its library has over 8'000 books, around 300'000 photos, 20'000 posters, periodicals, scripts etc. Our archive also has two cinema theatres for cinematheque activities. Presently (2013), the ANF has 130 employees.
