Cineteca di Bologna: Corona Cinematografica Sammlung and frühe Stummfilme

Von den 1960er bis 1990er Jahren produzierte die italienische Firma Corona Cinematografica Dokumentarfilme, Animationsfilme und Wochenschauen. Für viele große aber auch weniger bekannte Regisseure war die Corona Cinematografica eine Art Schule, in denen sie das Handwerk des Filmemachens erlernen oder festigen konnten. Rund 150 Filme aus der Corona-Sammlung sind auf auf dem EFG. Darüber hinaus macht die Cineteca di Bologa eine Reihe von restaurierten frühen Stummfilmen, Spielfilme aus verschiedenen Genres sowie Dokumentarfilme verfügbar.

The Italian company Corona Cinematografica produced documentary films, animated films, and newsreels from the 1960s to the 1990s. For many greater or lesser directors, Corona Cinematografica provided a kind of gymnasium in which to acquire the craft or consolidate already honed competence. And in many cases to bring into play their own creativity. The panorama which emerges is very lively, making it possible to undertake an uneven path through 40 years of customs, geography, history, mentality, work, literature, famous and “ordinary” people, painters etc. Around 150 items from the Corona collection have been included in EFG. Moreover, CCB makes available online a slice of restored early silent films, fiction of various genres and documentaries.
